This week’s blog is all about the consultation on our new Springboard Project. We have been asked by the Department for Education to share our vision for the latest part of the New Bridge Group.
We invited all our key stakeholders to a consultation meeting at Medtia Square on Thursday evening. In the presentation we showcased our outcomes for the Springboard Project and also told parents about some of the other outstanding pathways and parts of the New Bridge Group. We showed the film ‘Reece‘s Story’..
For many of the Spring Brook staff this was a proud moment as Reece is a former pupil and the film told his journey from Heron Street to New Bridge, to the Sports Pathway and onto Bridging the Gap then Future Finders before gaining employment at Hollinwood Academy.
The PowerPoint we presented for the Springboard Project centred on:
- our curriculum offer
- our vocational offer
- additional offers around Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, leisure and keeping healthy
- opportunities in employment and the community
You can view the presentation here. We are still seeking the opinions of all our young people, our parents, carers and anyone interested in the proposed Springboard Project offer.
If you would like to talk to me regarding this new exciting development for our Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Spring Brook students, please email atootill@newbridgegroup.org or ring the Dean Street campus on 0161 770 8281 to arrange a meeting.
