It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a blog due to exams and revision which have stopped me from doing it. Apologies to those who looked forward to my blog but I’ll update you all now with everything that’s been happening in recent weeks..

Exams….the most stressful time of the year! I’ve been in and out of the room so many times I wish it would be over but they need to be done and then the party will begin.

It’s starting to come to the time when you know there’s only so long left and then it’s over. I’ve enjoyed my time at New Bridge; it’s created lifetime achievements and memories, it’s changed me into the person you see today. I can’t repay the school enough, thanks again for your amazing support.

Last weekend saw a group of our staff take part in a charity bike ride raising money for Andy’s Man Club by cycling from Oldham to Halifax which is equivalent to 30 miles! Massive congrats to those who took part! I’m sure some of you saw the Man. City vs West Brom. game a few weeks back and the Andy’s Man Club Facebook page has a certain somebody standing out, showing their support for the group..

Last Tuesday I woke up, did my daily routine then sat down and turned on Sky News. The one thing I saw in bold letters was MANCHESTER ATTACK. I was saddened to know children were at the event with their families who sadly lost their lives. The people who committed this awful, EVIL crime should be disgusted. They have hit one of the most popular cities in the world. A city that is united, with the best music bands Oasis, Stone Roses and Joy Division. A city with the greatest football teams (one time I actually praise them), home of Alan Turing who built the first computer and a city who comes together when our own fall. So my message is you haven’t broken us, you never will. We’re Mancunians, we don’t look back in anger, some might say we will find a brighter day and you and I, Manchester….gonna live forever. On behalf of New Bridge we send our condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.

That’s it for this week, I’ll leave you with a video of a popular poem which was shown in the last assembly before half term. I’m a proud Mancunian..

Have a great week,

Jack
