Yesterday Activ8 were very lucky to have another visit from Luke Ambler – you may remember the first time he came to New Bridge (click here if you missed it). Luke delivers talks and workshops helping to empower people to be the best they can be. A former professional rugby player and Ireland international who played World Cups, Luke now travels the world delivering workshops and talks to audiences of all ages about how to unlock their potential..
Luke delivered a total of 3 workshops to Activ8. The first was based on the 5 points of wellbeing, then there was one on managing anger before he moved on to one on goal setting. These workshops were amazing and have given the students tools they can use themselves for dealing with their own wellbeing, helping others around them and for focusing on goal setting and managing any times of anger..
Luke then also spoke to a team of staff. His talk was funny, emotional, informative and helpful, and was delivered with such passion and enthusiasm..
Luke spoke about how, from a personal tragedy, he went on to begin the Andy’s Man Club initiative and how, through constant awareness raising, the viral #ITSOKAYTALK campaign was born. Now a world wide phenomenon acknowledged by government ministers, New Bridge hosts our very own branch of Andy’s Man Club on Mondays at Medtia Square for our students aged 16 and over..
A fantastic day was had by all of the people who’ve been in contact with Luke today and we hope to welcome him into the New Bridge Group again very soon!!
