Today I’ve had the pleasure of going round all the classes to wish both staff and students a happy Easter. I love it when I can just stop and go and spend time with our amazing students and dedicated staff teams.
Together with Miss Meadows, I’ve also enjoyed congratulating the following students on 100% attendance.

As part of our work experience Program, we are lucky enough to be able to place Learning Centre Students within ‘Krafty Kids’ Nursery for work experience placements. For the last few weeks, Zara has been working in the nursery every morning, her confidence is growing day by day. Here’s a few words from Zara herself,
“At first, I was nervous to go in the nursery, now I go in every day and I love going in there. The kids make me so happy, I really enjoy it in the nursery and these past few days I’ve also changed a few nappies, it was my first-time changing nappies.
The staff are really nice and I love playing with the kids, also today the Easter bunny came and the kids loved the Easter bunny, they got chocolate eggs.
The kids always make me smile and they are soo cute. We sing songs, I love singing nursery rhymes and songs to them. I love playing with them too.
After snack time I wash the plates and cups . Before they go outside I help the kids put the shoes and coat on.
When I go in the nursery the kids always come and hug me, they are well cute and the nursery is my happy place.
I love going in there.”
Zara was absolutely delighted today to be handed a card and £50 voucher from the Nursery staff to say thank you for all her hard work.
Zara, we’re all so very proud of you, you’re an ambassador for the Learning Centre, Well done Zara!
I’d like to finish with a short video of some of our students produced for Autism Acceptance week entitled ‘Let’s Learn about Autism’.
I’d like to finish by wishing all our staff, students and families a very happy Easter.
Take care
